Finger-point Beta
Today i woke up a little late. Exactly in the moment the delivery service was calling me that my Chinese textbook is ready to be picked up. I was sooo tired… went down the building and at reception was no one. While waiting for delivery man I got hungry. Lazy bones are lazy bones especially early(10:00) in the morning. There are 2 restaurants just inside the building where I live. Man, you have to try it once, right? Locals were watching me like ghost of Old Mao when I stepped in. Obviously no picture menu:-/ I could feel how all the people inside are watching me. Waiting for my next step. And then it struck me. Like a lightning from a clear sky…Calling the boss “Lao ban, Lao ban”. Approaching table of the most curious guys with obviously most dishes on their table. Finger-pointing on 2 of those dishes on their table and finishing my order with “Da bao” request. No way I am going to eat here like an animal in zoo. Not in the mood right now…

Considering the residual alcohol in my system and the lack of possibilities I made a great choice in here. Fries were very spicy with diced garlic and sesame seeds, deeply fried like I have not had for a looong time. Cabbage was cooked with spicy peppers and sprinkled with Sichuan pepper. These small dark balls on the cabbage. If you crack them with your teeth it has very strong pepper taste and makes your tongue and mouth a little numb…too much of it and you can not feel and taste a thing.
