Stabbed while looking for some fun

Imagine following situation:

You are a little high, lets face it you are pretty drunk…you are coming back from a pub where you spent couple of hours chatting and drinking with your friends. Played a few games of pool. Won a several rounds, lost a few. You are bored. You are searching what to do on your way back. You spot a pair of chicks. So you tell your self…finally some fun…you approach and try to be awesome, nonchalant, rude-cool as in every other American movie. But the only think that pops out of your mouth is “Hey Chicks wanna get a room in the nearby hotel with me?” Stupid, right…Now one of the chicks pulls out knife out of nowhere and stabs you. And once more, and once again. And one more just for sure. U kneel down, bleeding…breathing heavily. Instantly sober you realize you can bleed out within seconds.

Harassed while going back home

Imagine following situation:

You and your friend are coming back from B.day party of one of your female friends. maybe heaving couple of sips of a some alcohol, but definitely satisfied from delicious meal. Chatting with your friend walking down a dark alley you are not afraid. You feel safe you have a knife with you. Not to attack anyone, just to defend yourself. As you know from every other American movie, the streets at night might be dangerous and unpredictable. Suddenly a guy approaches you and your friend…adrenaline hits the ceiling. FEAR. He smells of alcohol and is dangerously close to you…blabbering something about going to a hotel with him. Your hand reaches cold and solid hilt of your savior. Once, twice, three times…ONE MORE and RUN….RUUUUUN.

Those stories are just products of my imagination. I guess my brain wanted to get rid of the creative energy accumulated over time. Low attention to this blog! – guilty as charged 🙂

Smoment – Gele mountain Chongqing

It is few months since I posted some pictures with sound. After Sanhui – Qijiang I obtained several sounds from different places around Chongqing. Gathering sounds and making pictures is fun, though it is not as easy as it sounds. So after several months I have enough material to create few videos and post them online.

Since calling it pictures with sounds is too long and has no credit, lets call it Sound Moments or simply Smoments.

Today’s Smoment is from Gele mountain trip. There is always more to see, hear and smell on every single place. You can find pictures on my Picasa profile, recording and transferring smells was not popularized yet but the sounds of Gele mountain accompanied with several pictures are here:

Chongqing reached the critical temperature last week. City of Hot-Pots and Bangbangs has entered the summer season and temperatures are climbing permanently over 40 degrees.

On Tuesday George pulled me out in to that heat and dragged me all the way to Yangjiaping electro market to check actual offers for cannon lenses. As we were melting in the taxi, his ideas were getting more coutures and I could contemplate on the necessity of air-condition in taxis.

Long story short. A new 70-200mm lens landed on his 5DmarkIII Cannon camera, which offered me an unique opportunity to try his old 24-105mm lens as 2 of my shots were dedicated to Random food.

One underground passage in Jiefangbei is serving great food. It is super busy in the lunch and dinner times, but when you ar elucky you can squeeze in. Me and George were right on time before they closed. We ordered 3 dishes and payed exactly 50 kuai with 2 drinks.

One dish was boiled beef, second one yellow beans and last one a variation on mashed potatoes. Although we wanted some noodles. This particular shop is focusing only on rice. So two bowls of rice and we could eat. I must say I was really positively  surprised and when in proximity I will definitely pay a visit in there again. 

 
As me and George were leaving the closing shop, our bellies were screeming with pleasure and filled with warmth of satisfaction. Totally recommend this one underground restaurant.
